It was too long ago that i was on the road with Oli for sleeping outside. We had to enjoy my preferred spot for a night. We started on a sunny day and took the uphill till Bad Herrenalb to shop there the essential stuff for the BBQ. This time we took the eastiest way from there to the ‘Bernsteinfelsen’. The half way up is tarmac what is faster than the other ways up to the top. Arriving on top is always such a great pleasure for me. I really love this spot. Everybody you meet there is kind. Maybe it’s because you need first to know the spot, and you have to walk, cycle up there for about an hour. This time i was searching the spring to get water, Oli started the campfire.
It is mandatory after arriving on top to grab a cold drink and hop to on the platform with the bench where you have a stunning view on the ‘Rhine valley’. Such a good reward for the ride!
We had BBQ, drank some wine and schnaps. Hang at the campfire. Talking. Felt asleep save…
The next morning i woke up, made coffee. Oli was still sleeping. The pathfinder has a solid sleep.
The ride home was relaxed… There are always some variations to get back home. Today we choosed ‘Moosalbtal’ which goes slightly downhill for many k’s and not so many cars…
Thanks Oli for another top overnighter!
